Riverfest 2020

Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, this year’s Riverfest continued to be a wonderful celebration of the Parramatta River catchment.

The program ran from 6-31 October and offered more than 30 online and COVID-safe events and activities, including webinars, workshops, wildlife walks and foreshore clean-ups.

Each week of Riverfest was devoted to a theme that aligned with our Masterplan:

• The natural world in our catchment
• Get involved to protect nature and the river
• Stormwater awareness
• Let’s get swimming

We were particularly thrilled with the series of webinars we ran for the first time that included topics such as the EagleCAM at Sydney Olympic Park, Southern Myotis, and our planned swimming sites for the river. These webinars proved to be quite popular and we plan to run more of them in the future. If you missed any of the webinars, you can view them on our YouTube page.
