Riverfest
Riverfest is our annual, premier community event for ‘Our Living River’, celebrating the Parramatta River and surrounding catchment.
Due to COVID-19, this year’s Riverfest will be held throughout the month of October, starting on Tuesday, 6 October, and offers a wide range of online events and activities, including webcasts and virtual tours. There will also be opportunities to spend time on and around the river through foreshore clean-ups, citizen science activities and a nature photography competition!
Each week we’ll be focusing on a different ‘theme’ or aspect of the river:
- Biodiversity and citizen science
- Volunteering on the river
- Stormwater awareness and education
- Current and planned swim sites on the river
Do you have an event idea that could be held during this year’s Riverfest?
We welcome any events that connect people to the Parramatta River and our catchment. You can organise your own event or get in touch with us to partner with other great events being held during the festival period.
