Duck Creek Community Clean-up

PRCG team members Jasmine Payget and Nadia Young were on hand to help out at the recent Duck Creek Community Clean-up organised by Kellie Darley from ParraParents. It was disheartening to see so much litter in this neglected part of the catchment, particularly the large number of plastic bottles, but so rewarding to see what a difference we made in just two hours! It was also great to meet and work with the enthusiastic staff from the Australian Turf Club at Rosehill Gardens and other passionate volunteers.

Of course, it would be much better if the litter wasn’t there in the first place so we’re looking forward to kick-starting our Litter Prevention Strategy for Greater Sydney Harbour and expanding our ‘River Aware’ campaign across Sydney over the coming months.
