IECA’s council compliance workshop
We were thrilled to take part in the International Erosion Control Association’s (IECA Aust.) council compliance workshop at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre recently. It was also great to see some of our member agencies there, including City of Canterbury Bankstown, City of Parramatta, City of Ryde and NSW EPA.
There were several presentations on different aspects of erosion and sediment control, including one from Nadia Young from the PRCG who presented on Get the Site Right as an example of a successful collaborative community engagement campaign aimed at reducing source pollution and improving waterway health. Council staff have commented on how helpful the day was and are keen to take part in future workshops
Our thanks go to the IECA Aust. for arranging the workshop and Liverpool City Council for providing the venue. We look forward to collaborating with the IECA Aust. and other catchment groups on more events in the future.
